One app that is currently changing rapidly is Google’ s Google Bard smart chat app.It seems that Google plans to rename this app to Gemini, which will also rebrand.
This information comes from developer Dylan Russell, who found a list of upcoming changes to Google Bard. The list indicates that Bard will now switch to Gemini as a major change. The date mentioned is next Wednesday, February 7.
Bard is currently powered by a next-generation AI model called Google Gemini, so it makes sense to drop a name. Rumors about the upcoming Android app shouldn’t be ignored, at least in the United States.
According to the update text, Gemini for Android will work with apps like YouTube, Google Maps and Gmail. Google claims that its app for iOS will allow you to try Gemini if you use an iPhone.
Also from this leak information, the launch of Gemini Advanced, a premium subscription tier, is announced. This confirms previous rumors that Google will offer two layers of smart bots, free and premium, that match OpenAI and ChatGPT.
In reference to previous rumors, the @AssembleDebug spy (through Android Police) discovered a contact page for Bard (soon known as Gemini) within Google Messages. The idea is that you can communicate with AI in the same way you would communicate with any other contact.
